Parvaah`s work towards empowerment of women and its waste paper recycling drives, anti-plastic movement and conserve food campaigns are great initiatives that are really making an impact in the society. Besides, what I particularly like about the NGO is that it is run by children. As responsible citizens of our country, we need to donate, support and encourage the good work done by the kids. Way to go, Parvaah
I was there at a food grains collection drive at Sarvodaya Enclave and witnessed hundreds of children going door to door to amass grains for the underprivileged. It was an incredible sight. And now I am very happy to be able to contribute towards Parvaah`s social welfare work even though the little money donated by me is unlikely to make any major difference.
Women empowerment is a big issue in India. Even though a majority of women living in the cities and towns of our country lead lives free from financial dependence, those residing in rural areas have to depend on their fathers, and after marriage, their husbands for financial support. Parvaah has done commendable work for empowering women and now I am planning to enroll my two children, one studying in class 10 and the other in twelfth standard, as Parvaah volunteers.
In the midst of our hectic schedules, we tend to forget that each one of us has a duty towards our environment and our society. But we have to join hands to make a difference in our society. The efforts undertaken by a single person may not be effective but when people come together to work for social welfare it always yields results. Parvaah has taken the lead and we can contribute by participating in its campaigns.
Over the years, uncontrolled industrial development has been causing both air and water pollution at a significantly large scale. It`s high time for us to do something to safeguard our environment. Tree plantation is one of the best ways to reduce pollution levels and Parvaah`s student volunteers have done a lot to highlight the importance of planting trees. We need to pledge our support to Parvaah and other organizations who are working hard to protect the environment.
I believe that good work done with sincerity and dedication definitely bears fruit. The Parvaah kids are doing amazing work and their devotion for social causes show that India is definitely moving ahead in the right direction. Cheers!
