Parvaah, an NGO dedicated to education, operates with the tagline ‘’Engaging Youth for a Better World.’’ The core mission of Parvaah is to create a better environment for children to receive quality education-and the organization has been actively working towards this goal.
Over the past few weeks, Parvaah has been continuously receiving requirement lists from several schools. During this process, we came across a primary school in Bhupani village, Faridabad, where nearly 700 children attend school daily.

When our team conducted a verification and assessment visit, we observed several critical gaps in the school’s infrastructure. One of the most urgent issues was the absence of basic hygiene facilities and a functional drinking water system.

Taking full responsibility for the restoration, Parvaah's team mobilized swiftly and undertook a comprehensive renovation of the toilet block and drinking water area.
Toilet Block Renovation: The team carried out complete plumbing and pipe repair work throughout the toilet block. Damaged and corroded pipes were replaced, and all seven flush systems were fully restored to working condition, ensuring that each unit was functional, clean, and ready for daily use. The walls and surfaces of the toilet block were freshly whitewashed and painted, giving the space a cleaner, more dignified appearance. What was once an unusable and deteriorating facility was transformed into a hygienic, well-maintained space befitting the children who use it every day.
Drinking Water Facility Restoration: The drinking water area, which had long been barely operational, was thoroughly restored. Repairs were carried out to ensure a consistent and reliable supply of clean drinking water — a fundamental necessity that every child deserves access to during their school day.
Cleaning & Sanitation Drive: Alongside the renovation work, Parvaah organized a dedicated cleaning and sanitation drive within the school premises. The team worked to ensure that the newly restored facilities were handed over in pristine condition, setting a new standard of cleanliness for the school.

Impact
Nearly 700 students now have access to clean and functional toilets, better health, hygiene, and sanitation standards within the school premises.
Creation of a healthier learning environment conducive to regular school attendance
Today, almost all the students of the school are benefiting from fully functional and hygienic toilet facilities, ensuring a safer, healthier, and more dignified school environment.
Through the Guiding Light Initiative, Parvaah reaffirms its unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child — regardless of where they are born or where they study — has access to the basic dignities that make quality education truly possible.
