As part of its Urban Forestry Initiative, Parvaah organized a two-phase plantation drive at MCD Park No. 126, Khayala, near the Deep Blind Welfare Association 05 July 2025. Our team identified the need to create a green space near the compound of Deep Blind Welfare Association where we conducted our “Guiding Light Initiative’ focusing on uplifting the habitat of visually impaired college & university students at the premises.
PHASE 1
Preparing the Ground
In Phase 1, Parvaah coordinated with the Horticulture Department of MCD, completing necessary groundwork to make the park suitable for tree plantation. With the help of labourers, debris was cleared and pits were dug. A total of 400 saplings were planted, including species like Ashoka, Ficus, Neem, and Peepal.
PHASE 2
Beautification & Final Execution
In Phase 2, Parvaah engaged its student volunteers to plant an additional 355 saplings, along with installing protective mesh around Neem plants. To promote public awareness and cleanliness, a wall painting activity was also conducted, based on the Swachh Bharat theme, painted by the volunteers.
